This series of five mirrors is the result of a study of patterns that are inspired from animal skulls. They seemingly belong to the same species, yet their singularities give each of them a different attitude. By portraying objects as living characters, I hope that people will bond with them.
Each piece consists of a hand-cut mirror enclosed in a tin structure. The structure is composed of a front and a back part sealed together. The metal was first cast in sand molds to create these frames that were afterwards elevated with legs. The mirrors and the tin originate from second-hand stores.
